Får I Kål Fest

On Tuesday there was a “får i kål” (Sheep in cabbage) party at Espen, Ida and Halvors home. Every one helped out with the food preparation. Some of us even got too walk on a high rope. It was so nice of Espen and Ida too open up their home and let us be a part of the fun.

New techniques

So I took another shot at making a 12x6 Lo. This time I tried some new techniques like; watercolor and handwritten title. The dog on the left I cut out from a free calendar that was given out at the Oslo university campus. And as I have mentioned before, parts of the Lo is missing due to a small scanner.

12 X 6

Stepping in to new waters, that is how it felt when I sat down too make this LO. I have never made a 12x6 Lo before and after seeing some of them on different forums, I thought I could give it a try.

It was so exiting trying out something new, and this is one of the things I love about scrapbooking. There is always something new too try. One downside is that I can’t get the whole LO to fit on my scanner so parts of the right side of the LO is missing. I know, I know I can stitch two scans together but I have tried and the scanner is not cooperating.

Scrapbook room dream comes true

Pål was super nice and helped me out setting up the new scrapbook room. I’m very pleased about how it turned out. Thanks to IKEA and its low prices, it didn’t cost that much. The goal is to keep it this tidy in the future. There is one draw back with getting a nice scrapbook room; I haven’t been that motivated to go to crops. The thought of all that packing… huff… that is what I have to say about that. So I’m open for any tips on what to bring to a crop now that I’m no longer willing to rifle up my stuff and take it with me.

Stine Sabrina's Birthday 060907

So yesterday Pål and I went out with the family to celebrate Stine's 14Th birthday. It was a blast. Unfortunately Stian couldn't attend, it being a school night and the fact that he lives like 2 houres away in Skien and the party was in Bærum.

The big party took place at this crazy Chinese restaurant where it seemed like the waiters where all on something.

The little book, I made that for Stine as birthday card.

Hope you enjoy the pictures. stay tuned for more updates on whats up with my Little life up here in Norway.
